Some of my favorite LV posts are when he sees a movie and then comes here and starts with "hoo boy..."

I think it does a good job of conveying your expression when talking about it. I always have a chuckle though.

I'd argue that good movies seem to have this effect on you, while bad movies... never mind. Where's McP and his low hanging fruit pic?

The Hellboys are a missed opportunity. As pretty and fun as his movies are, his characters are mostly terrible. As a fan of the comic, it totally misses what makes it so cool. I'm not against doing something different, but not if its kinda generic action adventure stuff. Hellboy as an overgrown child was just kinda weird.

We watched "Theory of Everything" last night and all I could think about was Redmayne's character on "Jupiter Ascending".

Could be. I've never read a single Hellboy comic. So, obviously, I didn't have those issues.

While I enjoyed "Theory of Everything" I think I would have liked to see more about how his family struggles drove him to become secluded and just think for a while. This was the case from what I have read. I get it though, this was based off of his first wife's "edited" biography about their relationship.
