Despite the turnover late in the game against the Bulls, I am so in love with Jaylen Brown right now (C's third overall pick).

I thought he moved around really well out there. The athleticism is there.

I've watched a bunch of local interviews with him; very mature, all about team play, etc. Before the end of the week, he'll have one of those dunks that turns heads. He's also getting teased by teammates for wearing shorter shorts, but says he moves better in them and is just laughing it off.

I went to bed after the 19-3 run when Russ was on the bench. Good call.

So does KD leave after a couple of titles to go do it somewhere else without coattail riding or does he stay there to rack up not 5, not 6....?

And how long will Klay be down with this program? I can see him being a good soldier for a couple years, but he can't want to do this for the rest of his career can he?

Did you steal these questions from Skip Bayless?

That's easily the meanest thing anybody's ever said to me before.

They're honest questions. Here, I'll rephrase the first one without taking a shot at KD: Clearly KD wanted to win a championship so he went to the team that gave him the best chance to do so. Will he stay there long term after winning a couple of titles or will he look for a new challenge once he's at least won a ring or two?

I think that's a fair question.

Haha.

I do think it is a fair question. Too many factors to consider, some known, some not. He doesn't strike me as someone who is going to meddle with front office or coaching decisions. Historically, star players only leave championship situations if there are chemistry issues or ego issues. Way too early to really make an informed guess. He can do whatever he wants.
