There are always leftovers from pretty much every session. Pendulum was written for Backspacer and we never knew about it until LB came out.

I heard they were planning on a new live album called Betterman Live. Twelve tracks of Betterman from shows ranging from 1995 to 2018.

Some of us are being entirely unrealistic about how many of those leftovers represent completed (or even near-completed), unreleased songs.

I heard the new album is being written by the band, but actually played and recorded by women, and it's going to be called Girl Jam

They should just hire Shirley Manson to record it, because the album is probably going to be Garbage anyway.

Of the Earth, Ole. There's 4 right there with the two you mentioned. I'm sure they could drum up 12 more songs somewhere in their archives.
Folks, The Holiday Singles: Complete Collection, will almost definately be released once they conclude their fulfillment of the singles. That's more or less Lost Dogs 2.

I Won't (is confirmed, in the hands of a fan, but not shared.)
Baba O'Riley (studio)

Wasn't there some nearly complete ST demos too?

no, they couldn't commit to the demands on their schedule. it was too much trouble trying to squeeze it in between their galas and shopping sprees.

But what do you think of the notion that money in the music industry these days is to be made by touring, merchandising, and tv/movie placement?

I'm sure they could put out something -- there are still a few tracks from 1991-2003 that could use a good home ("Sunburn," "Happy When I'm Crying," etc.), and I wouldn't discount a pleasant surprise or two, but I think a new rarities-type release would be exactly what you say: a lot of "drumming up." Beyond the few tracks that missed the original release, I can't help but think the 1991-2003 era is pretty much bled dry, and I can't imagine their log of "excess" material from the last fifteen years doesn't relatively mirror, in quality and quantity, their regular album output from the last fifteen years.

I'd love to be wrong, of course.

I would rather hear outtakes of them tuning their guitars from the Vitalogy sessions than completed unreleased LB trax

10,000 years could be featured in a compilation of unreleased works that i would consider purchasing

so that’s like 5 solid songs:

of the earth
cold confession
let it ride
10,0000 years
baby got back (Tim B acapella)
