I'm not posting spoilers in that spoiler thread, so open at your own risk. Regarding the credits:
Spoiler: show
there was no scene but what was that metal clanging sound?

Spoiler: show
it was the sound of Tony working the metal with a hammer to forge his first suit of armor in that cave from the first movie.

I'm sure Portman got some money for appearing.. but you guys know she wasn't actually in this right? It was old footage with a CGI raccoon added

And she was credited. Back to the Future was acknowledged in the film so I assume the crap that came from that movie in regards to crediting people was in someone's mind.
Co-director Joe Russo (credited as Gozie Abgo) has a cameo appearance as a man grieving the sudden loss of a loved one
I thought that was one of the Russos.

I am honestly surprised at Ross's appearance at the funeral. Figured more than one person would have had something to say about him being there, in-universe.

I’m not a comic book fan. I have missed a half dozen of these MCU movies. This means I probably missed a lot of Easter eggs or fan service. Still, I thought this movie was boring. I looked at my watch half a dozen times. The pacing was awful. Infinity War was soooooo much better. I do hope Thor is a major part of Guardians 3. That’s all I’m still interested in. Always Sunny already made the buff guy fat for humor. This was pretty uninspired.

You sure did, and I’m happy for you. Otherwise that show would have been a fucking train wreck like this movie.

You won’t. Just understand Gamora exists, but she’s a pre-Guardians Gamora. Essentially, it will be Guardians 3: Fifty First Dates.

The cold open and the bit with Ant Man finding his daughter are the highlights of the first hour. From there until the "time heist" is a real slog.

I'll have more to say later, but the "girl power" part made me roll my eyes so hard.

Thanos killed her in infinity war. But thanks to time travel in the new shit show, a Gamora from 5 years before that was brought to the present survived. She did not experience the 5 years, so when Star Lord went for the reunion hug, she kneed him in the balls and disappeared. The (As)guardians - now featuring fat Thor - will presumably look for her or run into her in the next film. You’re going to love it.

Too bad Michael B. Jordan was Warmonger instead of Falcon. He’d be a great Captain A. Anthony Mackie has the charisma of Screech.

My favorite part of this movie is when Tony Stark discovers/invents(?) time travel in one, post bedtime story evening.

At some point during the movie, I was noticed that it was all males in the story, plus a racoon and Black Widow. So much for all of Marvels great female characters.
Then they do that stupid scene as almost a "hey sorry we forgot about all these characters but heres 1 min of them kicking ass"

as much as you guys are ragging on Portman, what about Sam Jackson?
Why has he been all but written out of these movies since Cap 2? I would have much rather seen him leading a bunch of Shield agents in the final battle than another wave of Wakanda Warriors getting slaughtered.
