Half the Aldi Finds aisle is usable beach stuff this time of year anyway.dad wrote:let's make an Aldi Beach.washing machine wrote:Thought for a second there you typed Aldi Beach and I got excited by the thought.
Pretty frustrating that Houston's grocery real estate landscape doesn't have need for one yet. You keep telling me wonderful things.E.H. Ruddock wrote:You Aldi lovers will never go back once you discover Lidl

can't be disappointed if you never set foot in one.bodysnatcher wrote:There’s an Aldi on my drive back home. Never been but can’t wait to stop by next week and be severely disappointed
Is it better than Buc-ee’s?washing machine wrote:You will 100% hate it, I'm afraid.bodysnatcher wrote:There’s an Aldi on my drive back home. Never been but can’t wait to stop by next week and be severely disappointed
Two different things for different purposes, but yeah I think it is. Buc-ee's is overrated. Love's is a more authentic experience as far as way too big truck stops go. Buc-ee's has good products but it's way too kitsch.bodysnatcher wrote:Is it better than Buc-ee’s?washing machine wrote:You will 100% hate it, I'm afraid.bodysnatcher wrote:There’s an Aldi on my drive back home. Love’s is my favorite. I go to it exclusively if given the choice. I have a Buc-ee’s coffee mug though, and their brisket sandwich was decent for an 10:00 dinner on the roadwashing machine wrote:Two different things for different purposes, but yeah I think it is. How'd they turn out? Tell me about your rub and/or sauce game.spike wrote:The ribs will raise it to epic.
Great, but just a bit dry. I was doing a bunch of other stuff, so didn’t monitor temp as closely as usual.macphisto wrote:How'd they turn out? Tell me about your rub and/or sauce game.spike wrote:The ribs will raise it to epic.

I’ve been using Famous Dave’s rib rub lately, because my wife likes it and prefers her ribs dry. I basted my ribs in a Carolina mustard sauce this time, to change things up.
