it didn't actually. I think got halfway through and work blew up and there was almost no engagement. It was too much work to be something I was just doing for myself. I may finish it before doing one for Gigaton, since they are both middle aged albums and Gigaton resolves or expands upon a bunch of themes on that album.
and I like the second half more, so it's too bad,

It's more like 3/4 with a beat missing in the last bar. (which could technically be called 11/8)
one two three - one two three - one two three - one two
one two three - one two three - one two three - one two

And that's not the whole song. In some parts it's just 3/4 without the beat missing.

This is what makes it feel similar to Low Light. Low light is 3/4 but with an added beat at some points.
one two three - one two three - one two three - one two three four
thanks - I think I can hear that. That time signature is present in the opening music, right?

I get that. That way it would change between 11/8 and 3/4 all the time, though. I think both ways of counting have their disadvantages.

Maybe you should read the opening post for context.

I think this is easily the best Lightning Bolt song, post-Pendulum.

I legit dig this song. It's #2 on my LB list. But I'm not gonna argue with anyone who has it in the top spot on the album. It's a 5-Star track.

I like this, it's nice; the bridge does what it should, and lifts it

If you said it was their most beautiful song, I wouldn’t argue with you.

Man of the Hour is their most beautiful song, though.
