Speaking of movies named after songs, how did you guys feel about Sarah Polley's "Take This Waltz"?

Kevin Smith Burn in hell...he speaks way better than he directs..his storys about the Phelps family made me want to see Red State again,instead i watched the documentary about them, Fall from grace.

Recently two of their daughters quit their church...Weird.

Haven't seen it. But it's SUPER high on my list.

I read that she's also adapting/directing Atwood's Alias Grace. Which I adore and will absolutely go see.

Really enjoyed this as well. His speech about passion was inspirational. It actually moved me, which I didn't expect from Kevin Smith.

We watched Django this past Saturday. While not as good as IB, I really liked it. End was kinda dumb, but the build up was solid and the first half was really good darkish humor. I would put this above Argo, DKR, and The Avengers.


I am not sure how Tarantino is going to take this whole "alternate history" trilogy back to Africa, dealing with the slavers themselves, and make it original after this. He may be better served by going after the British in India (think Ghandi unchained) or the Japanese in China during WW2. Both could easily include Waltz as the same German character he was in IB and Django. Maybe all the way back to the Native Americans versus the Spanish conquistadors.

Id like to see tarantino making a new original movie.

Arthur and the Invisibles. Kids wanted to see this and I was sort of interested when I saw it was directed by Luc Besson. Everyone hated it. Didn't like the animation, the voice acting was pretty terrible (De Niro was particularly bad) and all the ideas seemed to be stolen from other (much better) animated features.

Watched The Switch the other night. Not bad. Not great. But not bad.
