Some take-aways:
1.) Mental illness was the key factor in 25% of fatal shootings
2.) In 3/4 of shootings the police were under attack or defending someone who was
3.) 9% of those fatally shot were unarmed, of those 41% were black. ~3.78% of people killed were unarmed black men shot by white cops (37 total)
4.) 1/4 involved fleeing suspects
5.) Nearly 1/3 involved car chases after routine traffic stops
Unrelated numbers to give some context to just how bad these racist, murdering cops are:
1.) ~500 people are killed being hit by trains each year in the US
2.) ~350 people are hit by lightening (40-50 killed) in the US each year
3.) ~125 killed by hitting a deer with their car each year
4.) ~20 people are killed by cows each year
5.) ~100 people die each year from being scalded by tap water
6.) ~12 people die from injuries sustained playing high school football each year
