Really? I have no clue how this will play out.

Oh man. My band doesn't need anyone else but I'm torn. I'll get back to you guys.

Sounds good. Remember, at 8:04 Eastern time, Self can jump ahead and make his pick.

Then I guess Joey can jump in and make his last pick at that time.

If we're doing three days of voting, I'm thinking we'll start round one at a set time on Saturday afternoon and close it on Tuesday afternoon. Is this acceptable? Should I move it forward? Back? I'll go ahead and generate a bracket so the fourth play-in person knows who they are.

I'll post the bracket as soon as Joey makes his last pick, and then we'll set an official opening time for the first matches.

I almost took Stevie Wonder instead of PJ Harvey.
Folks, I believe that's it!
So, how is 6:30 PM Eastern time on Saturday for the play-in matches to start? That gives the four of us in those 72 hours to put together our presentation. Anyways, here is the bracket...
As you can see, the play-in matches are THIP vs. stip and Self vs. me. Voting will be open from 6:30 PM on Sunday till 6:30 PM on Tuesday. At 6:30 PM Tuesday, the next round will open (Varis-Joey, Kaius-Sarge, LMS-Self/Lament, Argo-THIP/stip). This round will close at 6:30 PM on Friday, and the Final Four will run from then until 6:30 PM on Monday. The championship round will be open from that point until 6:30 PM Thursday.
Anyone can vote. Tournament members are allowed to answer any questions posed to them about their band.
Would everyone be able to get their presentation in by Saturday evening? If not, I can make it so only those of us in the play-in round need to have them in by then. Also, if you don't plan on making a presentation for us to stick in the OP, let me know. You're not required to. You can just let the names speak for themselves if you'd like.
Thoughts? Criticisms? Suggestions?

Some observations on the sixty people picked...
-The Beatles were the band with the most members picked (3). Led Zeppelin, The Who and Buffalo Springfield were the only other bands to have two members picked.
-Eight females were picked. RM is obviously totally misogynistic. To be fair, two men with girls' names were picked (Lindsey Buckingham and Kim Thayil).
-Kaius' band is the deadest, with only one living member of the six. Self is right behind him with only two living members of his six. THIP, stip, and I have fully-alive bands.
-Ravi Shankar (1920) was the oldest artist picked. Annie Clark (1982) was the youngest, edging out Sarah Watkins (1981).
-Prince (#20), Paul McCartney (#22), and Stevie Wonder (#30) were the only artists among the top fifty biggest selling solo artists ever to be picked.
-AC/DC is the best selling band to not have a member picked. The Stones, ABBA, The Eagles, and U2 follow them in that order.
