If you haven't read it, you need to pick the Essential Warlock volume. Good stuff in there.

I am just finishing that stuff right now. I had to go buy warlock and the infinity watch vol 1 and 2, though because that's not on unlimited.

Read a bunch.

Superman # 2 and Action Comics: i really like where they are going...i mean, erradicator is back? Doomdsay? Lex? and the whole family thing is nice.

Batman # 2 : dont understand it. Those gotham two are boring.

Detective Comics: i like it so far...cool to see Tim Drake there.

The Flash Rebirth: well, seems they are trying to figure out how to move with the premise of the DC Rebirth number. Im waiting for more of this.

We are on the same page VG. I don't think I'll be sticking with Flash though.

Snake Plissken & Jack Burton Meet In Comics

In time for the 30th anniversary of John Carpenter's cult classic "Big Trouble In Little China," Boom! Studios is set to publish a six-part crossover comic that should delight fans of the Carpenter/Russell collaborations says EW.

In the comic, Big Trouble's Jack Burton time-travels from 1986 to the year 1997, a dystopian realm where he meets the eyepatch-wearing Snake Plissken from Carpenter's "Escape from New York". Kurt Russell played both roles in the films and to this day they are still arguably his most iconic characters.

Greg? Pak is penning and Daniel Bayliss is doing the art for the comic which has the full approval of Carpenter. Whether the villains of the films, Isaac Hayes' The Duke and James Hong's Lo-Pan, will show up - you'll have to wait and see.

Boom Studios will also be releasing two books later this year - "The Official Making of Big Trouble in Little China" and "The Art of Big Trouble in Little China" for fans of the cult classic.

Marvel Killing Off The "X-Men" In Comics?

It has been no secret that Marvel, unhappy that some elements of its cinematic universe are out of its control, has been quietly doing its best to sideline those properties it doesn't control.

While Sony has come to essentially a 'non-aggression pact' with Marvel Studios about the "Spider-Man" franchise, no such deal exists with Fox and Marvel over the "X-Men" and "Fantastic Four" properties. "Fantastic Four" has since been effectively killed, the comics titles being cancelled last year and the film reboot failing to launch following a critical and box-office drubbing.

Marvel wants them and the X-Men back and are willing to go to some lengths to do it. Now a new report from Nerdist has published what they claim to be Marvel Comics solicitations for the month of October, a list of comics books that will be coming out that month from the company. It turns out there's only one title that has anything to do with X-Men - "Death of X".

That doesn't paint a particular sunny future for the mutant universe, despite the fact the franchise features some of Marvel's most popular characters. With The Inhumans killing off the X-Men within the comic books, no new X-Men characters being created and one storyline leaving all mutants sterile - this is not a pretty picture for the future of the "X-Men," are they going the way of the "Fantastic Four" last year?

The report comes at an interesting time for the "X-Men" universe on film - one in which the series is about to shift the focus to individual character and 'young mutant' spin-offs in the near future including "Gambit," a "Deadpool" sequel, a "New Mutants" title, and the currently filming final "Wolverine" with Hugh Jackman in the role.

OMG! that was an awful video! Too be fair, you did warn me.

The last reboot saw the first hint of this but I still can't believe they're going to get rid of all my mutants  even tho most of my favourites are already gone. I thought it was just a phase and they'd work something out with Fox.

I'm on the fence with Detective. The first couple issues were very talky. Action Comics was good. I'll all about Superman now. Are you reading Green Arrow?

Yeah I like Green Arrow a lot so far....Wonder Woman, Action Comics and Superman too. I'll give all the Bat Books a chance but none of them have knocked my socks off. I read and decided not to continue New Superman, Green Lanterns, Flash and Aquaman. I'm going to give Hal Jordan and Titans another couple issues before I decide. Really looking forward to Super Sons, Trinity and the Adam Strange & Hawkman miniseries.
