Now, I know, I know. But this song, I firmly believe could bring about world peace. Everywhere I've been in the entire world, when this song comes on, everyone in the place starts dancing and singing and clapping hands. I've made a million bar friends to this song. Sure it's cheesy as all fuck. But it's got that special something. I have more great memories soundtracked by this song than almost any other.
Guys, I don't like this song at all. And I'm from NJ, which makes that a problem. But DcT is right. People lose their shit for this thing

This is one of my favorite Who songs of all time. Seems like it deserves a bit more credit or something, especially given that it's post-Moon. Love the lyrics, Townshend's vocal and guitar performance, even love the video they did for it. Great pick!
Nice.. thought about picking this myself.. probably the best song on thriller
I'll pick in a sec.. just got home from an amusement park
knoebels?
haha yep
I haven't been there in ages.. love the phoenix.. Every time I'm on it I feel like it's gonna derail, I'm gonna get ejected from the seat, or get beheaded as I'm halfway ejected
There was a new bobsled coaster but didn't feel like dealing w the 45 min wait

You could never disappoint me, Joey.
(I mean, come on, it's not like you're the guy who picked 'Love Shack'.)
I am the guy who picked "Love Shack". It's a great fucking song.
Yes, that was a poor call on my part.
Though the B-52's have many better songs, I'd prefer to listen to 'Love Shack' than, say, anything by Prince (or about half the other songs in this tournament).
I don't think I'm gonna take a Prince song (despite being possibly the biggest Prince fan on the board). I feel like this gets less interesting when the same few artists appear on every single person's list. I probably wouldn't have taken anything by The Clash if I would've thought they'd have so many songs chosen. I didn't think they would though after (I think) I was the only one to take a song by them in the 70s tournament (even though their 1977-1979 output is way better than their 1980-1985 output).
