Yeah but we'll have Beckham's new Miami MLS team soon enough.

Because until recently quidditch was a more popular sport in this country and, unfortunately, in high school its season runs at the same time as football, so most kids who want to try sex play that.

So many posts and yet noone has even hinted that without some Howard miracles it would have been at least 5-1? Could have lost it in the 90th minute. Could have went to penalties. But still, of all 1/8 finals, this was the most convincing team display I’ve seen of all teams that have won. If we play like that against Argentina, I don’t mind Messi scoring 1. We’ll score 2.

But congrats on Team USA for making it an epic game. Going 2-0 down early in extra time and between the heat and exhaustion finding the spirit to fight back. Respect!

Oh, and that free kick (see gif)… I was in total shock for about 2 minutes. Genius!

Belgium's roster is unbelivable, I think they have a great chance to win it all if they can finish a little better. They seem to be peaking as a team at the optimum possible time.

At the very least I'd like to see Belgium vs Germany.

He has definitely made some good saves but he can thank the Belgian players for shooting right on him most of the time.

Agreed. Belgium probably should have scored at least 4 or 5 goals. I'm no big soccer fan but I know enough to recognize that Howard had an all-time performance yesterday.

Also, before I left the house yesterday morning the ESPN analysts were talking about how nobody on the US roster had participated in a Penalty Kick-off in international competition and they were like "Let's hope the US can avoid that" because they didn't know how the players would handle it, and I'm thinking: "If you could guarantee right now that the game would go to PK's, as a US fan, I would take that."

I’ve seen every Argentina game so far and they’re yet to impress me for more than the standard 5 seconds of Messi brilliance per game. But still, Argentina go into the game as favourites for me. We were also far from impressive in the group stage.

I really hope Colombia beats Brazil, just 'cause it's kind of heartwarming to see Colombia doing so well after all this time.

And also because Brazil is awful and they deserve to be out.

Argentina have been the poorest of all the teams that are still in this thing. I'm torn because I'd like Messi to go as far as possible but Belgium deserves it more.
