Any fans of The League here? I think it's probably the best show on TV. The latest episode...Jesus Christ.

It's very well written. However, I find it's vulgarity and far-fetched plot lines to actively work against it the past 2 seasons.

The League has gone downhill a lot. Not that it was ever brilliant to begin with, but now it just seems to be more concerned with grossing people out than anything. And all the lame athlete cameos are terrible, yet they keep adding more. I don't want to watch a football player try to act, or watch the real actors kiss their ass.

Its still occasionally funny though.

Wow, totally disagree. I think it's one of the most consistent sitcoms out there. I've never noticed any dip in quality at all.

"Gone" implies it was once there.

I've only seen the first episode. But "well written" is probably the last phrase I would use to describe it.

I just watched Season 1 of Chappelle's Show on DVD over the past few days.

The show hasn't aged well. I might still say it is/was the funniest TV show of all time but my memories of it (watching in college, drunk) far outweigh the laughs 10 years later. I think it's because a lot of the comedy was pretty shocking the first time you saw it, but now that you know the punchline it's not nearly as good.

There are other things that I still laugh my ass off at even thought I've seen them multiple times (Wayne's World for example)...but not Chappelle's Show. I kinda wish I hadn't watched again and just remembered the memories.

Ah well.

Hilarious show.

I'm a season behind on Netflix.

A lot of it is just a little too far over the top. I think it would still be just as funny if it wasn't quite as ridiculous.

Admittedly, I didn't give it much of a chance. But after a super tiny sample size, it didn't seem like my kinda show. In fairness, I wondered about Sunny, too after the first episode. And now that's one of my all time favorites.

The first time I tried watching the pilot, I couldn't get into it and actually turned it off before it was over. I came back months later and tried again, and now...well, like I said, I think it might be the best show on TV.

The main thing is to avoid all season openers and finales. They are usually terrible. Unless you are interested in seeing Matt Forte try to act.
