Re: Radiohead | A Moon Shaped Pool
I just went to buy the CD from Radiohead's site, and they want $10 for shipping, bringing the total to $24.65 for a CD. I'll wait to buy it from Amazon next month.

Re: Radiohead | A Moon Shaped Pool
Thanks Trag -- I have given it a couple listens (via a free Apple Music trial), and I think I'm going to sit on it a while. I'll be honest, right now all the excessive fawning and best-evers are clouding my judgment in a bad way. I generally try to block that stuff out when listening but for some reason with Radiohead it gets to me. Go figure. Nice to have it on hand just in case I change my mind though, so thank you!

KD, please rank the Radiohead albums for me again so I can understand how I should feel about your previous post.

I've got one full listen in and Burn The Witch is my favorite by quite a bit, so far. Nothing else really stood out.

Re: Radiohead | A Moon Shaped Pool
This album is consistently very good but lacks the standouts of previous efforts. I love it as an album, though. There's not a single weak moment or something that bores me. Present Tense and Daydreaming are the closest to the standouts of their other albums. Maybe they will get there with time.

Burn the Witch
The Numbers
Decks Dark
These are The ones that have resonated strongly with me after a few listens. I still haven't given it a proper "headphones with the lights out" listen, which I think will help me get acclimated to some of the softer, more nuanced compositions.

it's probably the only way to listen to this record. It's not a Friday after work on the way home record.

Re: Radiohead | A Moon Shaped Pool
I just zoomed in on a pic of the bonus disc from the special edition version they have on their website. "Spectre" appears to be the first track and then something called "S Word" or "S Wind" (can't really make it out exactly). I was a little disappointed at first to find out that there would only be one new song from this (in comparison, the IR bonus disc was an absolute treasure chest) but it's hard to complain when they just released a fantastic album that's not even a week old yet. Could be a top 3 Radiohead album for me.

If IR and OK are your top 2 RH albums, then you're gonna love the shit out of AMSP.durdencommatyler wrote:Excellent. Thank you.
