yeah this reads like they told him it would be a celebration/reflection on taylor but then they got all kinds of candor about taylor struggling so the piece took on a different tenor. nothing was taken out of context, matt is just shitting himself after reading what the actual article became.
anyone else get the vibe that dave g. is almost ruthlessly ambitious from this thing? it's something i was already considering in the last few years when his profile has only increased with a memoir and movie and showing up everywhere all the time. i'm not saying he's a bad guy or anything, but christ man, take it down a notch.

But Pearl Jam took off all of 2019 and 2020. They played a scant four shows in 2021. In that same three-year span, the Foos did more than 70 concerts.
