What i wanted to say is that they just seemed to play a lot with effects, lot`s of small experimentations going on so i wouldn`t call it a raw sound but rather polished but as i also wrote it`s in a good way. I don't know what overproduction means? Slick and glossy? Overdubs and vocal harmonies. MYM has that in a few places and it sounds great. Songs like BRY and and All Night are overproduced to hell. Some extra layered guitars? That would take care of the thinness in Backspacer that many people didn't like. Or is it just lots and lots of keytar?

Yep. More layering and thickness would be nice. Backspacer was very thin, which sometimes took away from the songs even at their best. And I found it slightly inconsistent that something like the Fixer had tons of lovely layers, but FoN had just two or three.

The way they talk about eachother sometimes also makes it seem like anyone of them is liable to flip out if they read one of the others say anything less than "________ makes me tingle in my happy place when he plays, we all heart him'.


I don't know what to think of sirens anymore, im gonna operate on the assumption that its a cheesefest that I'm not gonna like.

If everything about LtRP can't be better than Supersonic, then I really, really, really just want a better chorus. I can't think of another band that would've written that chorus, and I don't mean in a good way.

Reviewers going to Amsterdam, if you can make out any lyrics for LtRP, I will love you forever. I won't shoot the messenger I promise.

So i think Eddie sounded awesome on the record but again it`s hard to tell cause the sound was really bad where i stood. Too many uninterested press people who talked the whole time...
What i remember most is that at some song he did some falsetto singing which was pretty cool. Really not sure which one this was i think Fathers Son or Sirens. Then there where songs like the beginning of Fathers Son where i really first thought it`s Stone singing but in fact it was Eddie so i think he also tried some new approaches but most of it is good old Eddie at it`s best. His voice is really in the front of the mix which i really liked as well.
Concerning the piece of music from the tour video. I`m not sure 100% but i would say it`s NOT on the album but again it might have been an intro to one of the songs which i couldn`t hear well.

But I don't get why you're saying this. Not many of us are evaluating it negatively, and certainly not me. We are wondering what certain things that have been said mean; it could be this, it could be that. Nobody is unfairly writing this album off, or any of its songs. I'm pretty much convinced that nine of the songs could be at least more interesting than Backspacer, possibly eleven. Even if I don't end up loving them all on a long-term basis, I think this album will reward repeated attempts to appreciate it. That's my opinion, and more or less speculation doesn't make it more or less hopeful or positive.
