i liked the idea of inside out, but something about this movie just didn't work for me and i haven't pinpointed it exactly yet...for now it's a middle of the pack pixar effort for me
southpaw was solid - great performances by two of my favorite actors

Legend is the complete opposite of modern blockbusters. What a beautiful film, good lord.

Steve Jobs. I liked it a lot, but it got a little cheesy and long winded by the end.

Watched Trainwreck. It was enjoyable enough I guess.
Mr Holmes was good. Then again I'd watch Ian mckellan boiling a kettle and id be happy.
Was thinking about that film, think it was called Mr Turner? About the painter? That was a beautiful film. Sort of similar feel to the Holmes film

Re: What movies are you watching?
I saw it a while back and was underwhelmed despite loving its visuals. But I had the urge to revisit it, so I tried the theatrical cut this time (I had watched the director's cut originally), and it was like night and day. The color timing was all fucked up in the DC and made everything way too dark and manipulated, the editing is much better in the theatrical version (the DC is draggy and messy), and the film loses a lot of its power when Tangerine Dream's droning, unusual soundscapes are replaced by Jerry Goldsmith's unremarkable orchestral score. I love it now.durdencommatyler wrote:Why did I think you didn't like that movie.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Legend is the complete opposite of modern blockbusters. What a beautiful film, good lord.![]()
