went to wrigley today and endured mid 40s temps. we made it all the way til the end though.
I coached a little league game yesterday in snow flurries and a 20+ mph wind... AND it was sunny out? gotta love spring baseballspike wrote:went to wrigley today and endured mid 40s temps. we made it all the way til the end though.

Yeah, that was funny.Simple Torture wrote:OMG the crowd was chanting "U-S-A" after the fight. I love this.
It's pretty hard for anyone to ever top Nolan Ryan.Simple Torture wrote:That's my second favorite baseball brawl gif of all time, coming in after the time Pedro Martinez gently lowered an elderly man to the ground.
I somehow forgot about that one. It's pretty baller to beat the shit out of the guy who rushes the mound:numbers wrote:It's pretty hard for anyone to ever top Nolan Ryan.Simple Torture wrote:That's my second favorite baseball brawl gif of all time, coming in after the time Pedro Martinez gently lowered an elderly man to the ground.

Odor's punch may be number one; he landed that thing squarely which never happens. Joey Bats took it like a champ too.Simple Torture wrote:I somehow forgot about that one. So today's is probably #3; the Pedro one just brings back so many memories.
If it were up to me, 5 for Odor and 2 for the other guys.philpritchard wrote:How many games does Odor get for that? It's not like there's a lot of precedent.
Gibbons will get a couple for coming back onto the field after being ejected.
Chavez will get a couple for hitting Fielder.
Bush should get something for hitting Bautista but probably won't.
Donaldson may get something depending on how badly he beat Odor. I really wish the camera hadn't cut away just as he tackled him.
I just saw another replay and Donaldson didn't actually get a chance to do anything. Just as he grabbed Odor, four Rangers players piled on top of him. So... nothing for him.numbers wrote:If it were up to me, 5 for Odor and 2 for the other guys.philpritchard wrote:How many games does Odor get for that? It's not like there's a lot of precedent.

Didn't they ban those types of slides? What does Bautista get?philpritchard wrote:How many games does Odor get for that? It's not like there's a lot of precedent.

Bautista gets nothing because he didn't do anything that has ever resulted in a player getting suspended. Those slides don't result in suspensions, they result in an automatic double play. There are more egregious examples from this season alone in which the sliding player wasn't suspended.Fuck You Jobu wrote:Didn't they ban those types of slides?
