Imagine a scenario in which Biden wins the pop by like 8-10M votes, the blue team takes the Senate and keeps the House, but the Electoral College gives Turnip the Oval Office. Can an incumbent be impeached before being sworn in for a second term? Would he need to be impeached again?

He could be impeached and even removed from office before 1/20/21. However, to keep him from serving his second term, it would have to be mandated that he can’t serve any more terms. And if that happened, I guess Pence would be sworn in. Of course the new senate members wouldn’t be sworn in until 1/3/21, so they wouldn’t have very much time.

Remember, 2/3 to convict in the Senate. And he was already acquitted of those charges, so yes he'd need to be impeached again.

But they're not getting 2/3 of the Senate, so....
And besides that would be the most absurdly naked power grab in American history in the scenario described.

To impeach a president because he won the election? And presumably the VP because if not, what's the point? Yeah, I stand by it.
(Note: he should have been impeached and removed years ago for many different reasons. And if were to win again I'm sure he will continue to do things worthy of removal. But basically impeaching and removing because he won is just a different level.)

I get the subtleties of state laws and which party is in control of what, that led to these two headlines, but how does the lower-information general public absorb this?
The Supreme Court allows NC and PA to count ballots after election day, but WI isn't allowed to do that? So, voters in NC and PA get heard if they put their ballot in the mailbox on Election Day, but in Wisconsin, you're vote is subject to the speed of the US mail? Don't Wisconsinites deserve equal protection under the 14th Amendment? This is the kind of state-by-state nonsense that needs to be fixed. It's one of many things that is good for Democrats and, y'know, just morally right.
