I did an RM search for that show once and found that nobody here likes it. At all.

I am not one of those people. I love it. I hope you do too.

It's nice spending a few hours every night in Trag's Bozeman with the Dutton family and Rip Wheeler.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

it's primarily filmed in WY!
But it's set in Bozeman so that's exactly how I picture it there. There's a scene where Jamie has to wait for a pour over at a local coffee shop in season one and all I could think about was how nice Bozeman must be and if that character ever tried tonkotsu ramen.

My wife's parents are really into Yellowstone, and for a while we kind of figured it was like Republican Succession where the rugged patriarch gets to be a hero against the forces of change or whatever, but then we watched the trailed which suggested a more nuanced portrait and then we also remembered that her parents are, as far as consumers of media, pretty fucking thick. So it's on our list to watch.

Yeah Mickey, I can't fully peg its politics. It has a lot to say about land ownership. You find yourself cheering for a wealthy, ruthless family, but in a Sopranos or Godfather kind of way where you know you're watching anti heroes self destruct and hope they find their way somehow. Kayce Dutton is Michael Corleone as far as I can tell at the point where I'm at in the series currently. John Dutton is absolutely Tony Soprano.

Some seriously brutal scenes though. Same with Mayor of Kingstown, Tony Sheridan's other show.

It’s of a different variety, but it has the best rapid fire dialogue since It’s Always Sunny

I’m still working through ep 1 of Yellowstone. Not sure why I can stomach Succession more… probably because of the dark humor angle… which, so far, Yellowstone seems to lack.

2 eps in. Loving it.
Its awesome...and that cast, jesus.

I have been in love with Juliette Lewis, Melanie Lynskey and Christina Ricci at different stages of my life.
Spoiler: show
If I’m tracking this correctly the plane crash was in northern Canada in November. That lake in ep 3 would have been way too cold to swim in.
Yeah it's still not entirely clear to me how they end up in the Ontario wilderness on a flight from New Jersey to Seattle, but whatever. Really enjoyed this show. Ricci and Lynskey are so good.
Ok finished S1. It’s basically LOST 2.0 meets Alive, with teenage girls.

I really hope it doesn’t drag on for like 8 seasons becuase I feel like I need to stick with it now.

The haunted wilderness is no match for teenage girls on their periods.
