Holy shit what is Donna Brazille doing. She dedicated her book to Seth Rich and talks about his death made her fear for her own life.

Right here is a textbook example of why "but he still has his base" is overblown in consideration.
Among the almost 50% of surveyed Virginia voters who said Trump was not a factor in their selection, Gillespie won 57-39%.
Among the 1/3 who said he was, 98% said they voted Northam.

The absolute best spin a republican strategist can put here is that Trump is motivating people who are already democrats to vote, and completely failing to motivate any republicans. And that's assuming all 1/3 who said he was a factor were pre-established democrats.

I have to assume that the obvious takeaway is that a bunch of VA voters did not enjoy seeing their state associated with white supremacists again.

Man I hope the VA results really are a predictor for the 2018 elections.

Northern VA is pretty liberal and populous, I’m not surprised he won. The wealth concentration rivals SanFran and NYC... all paid for by the war on terror.

Looks like the democrats might have switched the House of Delegates, too

I visited Alexandria once and it was one of the weirdest places I've ever seen. Like the town in The Truman Show, except it was built on war revenues.

**12** seats picked up now, with more looking to be.
