Really? "Whatever..." is absolutely my favorite record, but I think AM is pretty sweet. I'm really looking forward to what they do next.

I agree daft. AM would be second or third if I was ranking.

I guess I just don't really like the guys, but I do enjoy how energetic and fun the first one is.
I don't think that I have listened to all of their records, but nearly everything else is actively off-putting to me, especially AM.

It is a total change of direction, so I get it. The first record is perfect to me, but I don't think it was repeatable because they were already too famous to write those types of songs by the time they did the follow-up.

This is a good one. After Morning View, I thought their music steadily declined to the point of unmistakable. In hindsight, though, maybe it was more about my personal music tastes changing... Hard to tell.
I do like A Crow Left of the Murder. Everything after that is quite a disappointment.

The more I think about it, the more I think this is the right answer.

"Heartbreaker"

Jesus fuck, what an album.

"Call Me on Your Way Back Home" and "In My Time of Need" still give me chills.

He hasn't even come close to touching that shit again.
