in the ultimates, wolverine was the first mutant. but he wasnt born a mutant, he was genetically altered by weapon H or some letter to try to recreate Captain America, from there they used others as lab rats and then the x-gene was introduced to society (if i am remembering correctly)

i want to say it was called ultimate origin. im not sure they ever introduced inhumans in the ultimate world
