don't really have a preference but its mostly this....and done in the oven

Same here. I use bacon so rarely, i usually just need one piece for a recipe I sometimes cook. So I just ask for one piece of bacon from the meat department at the grocery and the guy gives me a weird look as he weighs it and wraps it in butcher paper.
