Wife and I watched the Chili Peppers set after Pearl Jam. She said the PJ set was 2 1/2 hours that felt like an hour, and the RHCP set was an hour and a half that felt like four.

Pretty astute :heartbeat:

All I want to see, at this point, is that the band is enjoying itself. Yes, more often than not, Ed's heart and the crowds get them through the gigs these days, and, sure, Ed can occasionally sound more like a drunk fan singing at a PJ show, but, so what? They've earned it. They owe nothing, and they still conjure up some magic.

I'd love to see the next step for PJ Enterprises be a live, at home, PPV setup. They've been doing the boots for twenty years now, take it to the logical conclusion: $25 per gig live video streams. Ed can sacrifice a few fire-fighter poles in the place to make this happen.
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

Strat wrote:Ill be damned. Cant Deny was quite great. Much better than the studio version. Can actually hear the separation of guitars ans stones little guitar work in the second verse.

Ed nailed it vocally too.
Yes, really good. The band was really into the performance.

Pretty sure that was "Third Stone From the Sun" by the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

Wifey spent the whole show wondering when Stone was going to smile...
One of my favorite parts of the night, Strat!

We also cracked up at the end, when the group bow happened, Ed hugs Matt, then lets his left arm hang freely rather than put his arm around Stone :D

They cut the last verse an guitar outro from Ledbetter on the fly due to time constraints. Well played.

Great show!

These SA tours end up being such a tease because they only last a week or so. Excited to follow along with the Euro tour for a month when it actually gets rolling.

Mike rocking the wrist brace now?

Love seeing Mountain Song pop up again, although thought Perry sounded pretty bad.
