I would have had no idea, but I like the way he describes how the drums are playing in a different time signature than the rest of the instruments and the deceptive rhythm that creates. The two parts getting out of sync, but then resolving together. It makes me wonder what other songs do this (he mentions “Kashmir” as another example)

Syncopation. Used in pretty much every Tool and Meshuggah song.

After googling syncopation, I've realized that syncopation is where it's at. Big syncopation fan here.

Always liked this video of Mark Knopfler talking guitar technique and choosing different electric guitars for what you want to hear. It's what turned me on to what a gifted musician he is.
