I like Zeppelin quite a bit but there’s other bands from the same period I like way more and I don’t know if there’s a Zeppelin album I enjoy all the way through.

I don’t know if it will win it all, but it should definitely be in the finals.

It transcends such labels.

Hell, half of their catalogue is ripped off anyway.

It is my personal favorite LZ song. But is it their "best" song if it isn't theirs?

Normally, I'd be all about your argument here, Ruddo. But the Zep version sounds completely different. They didn't just make someone else's song their own, they almost made a new song that is their own. Complete reinvention. Factor that in with the way it was recorded and all of the interesting things they did to make it sound the way their version sounds and I think When the Levee Breaks is the exception that proves the rule.

What is "Led Zeppelin's motto"?

I mean... sure? This one feels particularly so, though. The others all sound like Led Zeppelin versions of old blues songs. This one sounds like Page and Plant wrote it. I was surprised when I found out they didn't.

Just to be clear, I'm hoping for a Levee/Achilles final.

But knowing RM, it won't even get close to that.

Man, I'd just about shit myself if that turned out to be the final. There's absolutely no way this happens.

Somehow, "In My Tree" will make its way into this tourney final I'm sure.

Relistening to Achilles this morning I was struck at how much it sounded like Rush could’ve done it. And at how similar to Plant Geddy’s voice really is.

I don't care for Houses of the Holy. II, III, IV and Presence are all goddamn amazing records, front to back, though.
