Guys the animation in this is fantastic.
The kids a little too eager but not an Ezra clone thankfully.

I've watched the first three episodes. I like the animation. I like some of the side characters. Not a fan of the main kid yet. And the show is really light weight. Without space travel and other worlds it feels really limp and static. I'm okay with no Force/Jedi/etc. But so far it feels like I basically watched the same episode three times in a row.

I kinda like that it’s static. That base is huge and it’s own town or city so there’s tons of scope for further story telling both in the series and beyond.
I was reliably informed it’s not a Resistance or first order asset just a private operation with all sorts of stuff on it but mainly a refuelling station so effectively a huge better equipped mos eisley.

It’ll go into space at some point I think it has to. Kaz has to be the one to let Poe/Resistance know about whatever the first order is up to I’d say.
The comedy I’m kinda loving. It’s classic WB cartoons stuff you loved as a kid. Like the green alien character getting zapped. I don’t think he’s naive as he’s letting on to be but let’s see.
The animation on Phasma in that final shot of ep2 was fantastic. Truly. And the animation and lighting on the ships both racing and in space is just brilliant imo.

The main kid kaz is green now but you’ll see him toughen up and learn as he goes.

Ps the 3 we’ve see new so far are packed to the gills with Easter eggs and references to everything else. I’ll try find a complete list

The animation is outstanding, for sure. It's the show's biggest strength so far.

I hope, like Rebels, that this show can tone down on the Saturday Morning Cartoon vibe, just a bit.

This latest episode is almost perfect. It's dialed down extremely. And it gets really menacing for a minute. It's just Kaz is still a bumbling, annoying, idiot spy.

I feel bad. I haven’t been keeping up with this at all in fact I’ve seen only two episodes and all the pods I listen to are saying it’s getting better and better.

Nah. He's in the first episode but that's it, so far. They mention him a lot.

It's good. It's a little Saturday Morning Cartoony from time to time but the animation is outstanding and there are some cool things to chew on. It seems to be getting a little more into the whole world with each new episode.

Kazs dad is a senator on hosnian prime so we know what’s gonna happen there.

I’m told kylo is mentioned and his lazer sword in the most recent. I gotta catch up.

Ranking the Resistance episodes so far...

1. S1E5 - The Children from Tehar
2. 21E4 - The High Tower
3. S1E1 - The Recruit
4. S1E6 - Signal From Sector Six
5. S1E2 - The Triple Dark
6. S1E3 - Fuel For The Fire

This is a B+ show, so far. If they can get rid of the Saturday Morning Cartoon prat falls and "YIKES WHOOOOOA"'s of the show then it could be an A. The new "canon" stuff is great but there's so much slapstick.

"Signal From Sector Six" was fun, though maybe a filler episode. Poe shines in it. He's fucking hilarious. I lol'd three separate times. The episode also had a great Star Wars tone to it. It's an episode that could climb in my estimation depending on what comes next. There could be some HUGE setup stuff in that episode.

I'm still enjoying this for what it is. I still have the same basic, fundamental criticisms, too. But I do like the show well enough. I hope it continues to build and grow. This last episode did a lot of fun stuff with the politics of the Resistance in the shadows of the Republic and had some really nice, heartbreaking moments with Leia (because we know from TLJ what she doesn't know yet).

Poe is also awesome on this show. I wish Oscar could have/would have committed to more episodes.
