Just finished watching this from s01 through s03 over the past fortnight. What excellent television. Loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in good quality crime tv.

I loved Idris as the lead, his walking style is something else. The dude fucking struts. And Alice was one of the better characters I've come across lately.

Each episode was well thought out and well done, great acting throughout. And so many "wtf" moments for sure.

Def. some 'over the top' stuff going on at times, but in the scheme of it all that seemed to work brilliantly in this case.

I think I made it halfway through season 1. It didn't do anything for me.

Season 3 was probably the best of the series.

On another note, looks like FOX delayed their remake. I'm guessing in large part because their remake of "Broadchurch" was such a fucking disaster.

Thought the 3-hour "special" was pretty disappointing. Idris was fantastic as usual, but the story was very American network-like with shitloads of crime drama cliches and the cinematography wasn't up to previous standards.

So here we are, three years later, and I'm FINALLY watching this show.

Seasons 1 & 2 were outstanding. Idris Elba is a god among men.

Started season 3 the other night but stuff came up and I had to stop the episode. Which SUCKS because that opening was terrifying.

have you started watching Marcella yet? its on netflix and basically a female Luther...its very good so far

I have not. Marcella, huh? Haven't even heard of it. I'll definitely give it a go.

Luther 3.1 was terrifying. Exhilarating. Exquisite. Fuck me. What a goddamn brilliant hour of tv.

Never watched past season 3, so starting season 4 now. I know he just did a Luther movie, but I wish they would do more proper episodes. This is probably my favorite Idris Elba.

So season 4 was decent because I thought they wrapped up the Alice arc.

Started season 5. Nope. I'm sick of Alice.
