It could be said Habit, Lukin and Mankind don't fit the mood either. We accept them cos that's how it came. I'd say the fort two probably go more with Vitalogy.

Why this sort of stuff was never touched on in the Movie, Ill never understand. I think he has also stated he tossed his bass against the wall in anger too...

Yeah, I think some of Jeff's tension was written about in the 5 Against 1 book. And, I agree with you, the movie was a complete failure on a biopic level.

Well, Jeff gave up laying around on his couch waiting for the guys to call him to work on the 10th album. So, he worked on his second solo album, and 2 albums with RNDM.

in the book its kinda covered....Jeff saying something about not knowing they were recording and his contribution being smaller than before. Its weird, its one of my favorite album from the band, and specially from Jeff.
The Three Fish/RNDM parallel is a good one....with Jeff saying all sort of things on the press about the band not doing studio work.

So guys, how are Three Fish? I don't like Brad but love Bayleaf. I still think Wellwater Conspiracy is the best side project related to this band. Should I check out their records?

They were always my favorite side project, but I have pretty questionable taste. The self-titled album is much better than The Quiet Table. They were a stellar live band though. They don't seem to sound as out there today as they did back then, but there's a neat middle-eastern vibe kinda going on.

Laced and Song For A Dead Girl were the singles, and Stone appears on Stranger In My Head if I remember correctly. It's the kinda album that could've only been made in 1996, when the idea of middle-eastern grunge seemed credible.

I am a big fan of Tuatara's Breaking The Ethers album, which is from around that time, if that helps ??

Three Fish is much more conventional, but knowing that I'd say Three Fish is definitely worth a listen for you.
