When we were preparing to deploy to go into combat, we usually had to stay on the base the weeks before we deployed. The base gym was where we congregated. Played in a few racquetball tournaments. Pretty dorky

so paddle (or platform) tennis is the new old man's dork game that seems to addict people. it's actually pretty fun, and involves a lot of drinking.

basically, you play like tennis, except you're in a cage and can play shots off the walls. it's normally played in the winter (best temperature is about 20 degrees); the warmer it is, the farther the ball flies.
