I adore The Dark Tower series.
It's my first time with Dark Tower. A good friend has been trying to get me on it for years. He finally broke me down over the holidays. The Gunslinger was a bit dull, except for a few select moments, but I really enjoyed The Drawing of the Three.
I'm taking a Dark Tower break for a week or so, but I'll be starting the third book by the end of the month at the very latest.

I enjoyed The Gunslinger a lot more my second time through. There's a definite tonal shift between that one and the rest of the series (King actually went back and revised the book after the fact -- not sure if you read that version or not).
Echoing the Dark Tower love in here, though. One of my favorite series.
