I hope this gets picked up by my town's new drive-in theater!
For starters, HBO must be paying a mint for the rights to stream.Jorge wrote:True that it's no extra cost but they are also trying to entice new subscribers. Still, I agree, I don't know how the numbers work for them.daft twat wrote:Can someone explain this to me? Why not just hold onto it until summer or next Christmas? I guess, but HBO Max is owned by Warner, so maybe it's a bit like transferring money from your checking to your savings accountspike wrote:For starters, HBO must be paying a mint for the rights to stream.

I would do that.B wrote:Speaking of what people will pay, we just rented out a theater here in town on Christmas Day for $100 to watch it.
How many people will be joining you?B wrote:Speaking of what people will pay, we just rented out a theater here in town on Christmas Day for $100 to watch it.
Me, one wife, and 3 kids.wease wrote:How many people will be joining you?B wrote:Speaking of what people will pay, we just rented out a theater here in town on Christmas Day for $100 to watch it.
Last year, a movie in a theater was a lame Christmas present. This year, it's gonna be da bomb.B wrote:Me, one wife, and 3 kids.wease wrote:How many people will be joining you?B wrote:Speaking of what people will pay, we just rented out a theater here in town on Christmas Day for $100 to watch it.
So you’re looking at $20 a head. Are concessions included in your deal? Are they even offered?B wrote:Me, one wife, and 3 kids.wease wrote:How many people will be joining you?B wrote:Speaking of what people will pay, we just rented out a theater here in town on Christmas Day for $100 to watch it.
Available, not included. Looks like we might also have to pay for a movie ticket. @#$%!!wease wrote:So you’re looking at $20 a head. Are concessions included in your deal? We’ve done that before but tickets to the actual flick we were seeing were not included in the total. If tickets aren’t included in your deal, I’d cancel it. Especially with no concessions included. You’ll be looking at an over $200 total just to watch a movie you can watch at home. I love theaters, too, but not $200 worth.B wrote:Available, not included. Honestly this is a terrible deal. I'd maybe do it if I could bring a bunch of friends but five people? $100 plus food and tickets?B wrote:Available, not included. What if your favorite streaming app is HBO Max and you want to stream Wonder Woman 84, would they make you pay for a ticket then?B wrote:Stream a movie from your favorite streaming app
