The bridge might be the peak of intensity but that’s fairly common for this band. It’s followed by another verse and then the last chorus. I feel an uptick in emotion from the guitars during both. In the verse it’s subtle (notes on the right) and during the chorus it’s undeniable.

Yeah, when I heard it on the Binaural tour shows I just went through, it was always spectacular.

Bumping this because it's been a top five PJ song for me forever...other songs come and go from the list but this song is always one I love. It just always hit the mark, especially some of the great live versions. Pittsburgh 2000 is my all-time favorite if you're in the mood to hunt one down (it's on Spotify). I struggled with some stuff as a younger guy as most of us do at one time or another and this song always resonated. The song hits completely different now that I've gotten older and had kids (and got my shit together) but it's no less impactful.
