excellent song, a highlight on an album with many highlights

I'm still irked by the title 20+ years on, but I love this song.

If I could shave off the intro and conclusion I could envision a world where I am really into this song. As is, I think I Am Mine is the vastly superior Riot Act contribution that's working within this emotional space

Yeah, I pretty much have an inverse experience with these two songs. If I'm in the mood for something like this, 9 times out of 10 I'm putting on LBC.

On the one hand, no it isn't. But on the other hand, it's just a perfect moment, and I don't know if that changes if it goes on longer.

Yeah, after hearing the song again I do agree that the length of the solo is appropriate for how that song ends.

People talking about I am mine instead of love boat captain in a love boat captain thread is exactly what the song deserves

Basically how I feel

The worst thing about LBC is the title and the lyrical conceit

Compositionally it's really beautiful, and the band is playing their hearts out. I love how stormy and intense it gets in the verses

"I Am Mine" just sounds more plodding and lifeless every time I listen to it

Side one of Riot Act is so good. And LBC is the highlight.
