Didn’t your org just file for bankruptcy? And you’re still holding meetings?
No one paid me before. No one pays me now. Fuck it. Kids wanna camp.

god what a nightmare going to this would be
imagine when inevitably a few freaks start standing up and dancing to it?
and the pre-show chatter about PJ
and then if someone starts talking during the thing
in a fucking movie theater
oh god

I’m looking forward to it.
I remember when Lightning Bolt had a listening party in a cinema in Europe(Holland at a guess). I was jealous at the time.
This guy made a page of notes/drawings for each song that he heard. And I thought that was cool at the time(not something I would think of doing).
Anyway I haven’t heard a new PJ album this way before so it should be an interesting experience.
And unless this thing leaks sometime soon. 19 days to go until I get to hear this thing

But seriously, is there some sort of order telling you guys when to halt operations or something? Don’t they have to start allocating all funds to their creditors or whomever ?
Boy Scouts of America was just a corporation that collected our dues, paid a CEO, and supplied Eagle medals. Everything is actually run by local councils and volunteer Troop leaders. We continue on.

I'd do this if they gave us a couple of nights. "One night only" does not impress me.
Hey Pearl Jam, your fans aren't rebellious youth anymore. We're old people with jobs and kids, maybe even grandkids. Plan accordingly. Drop the leash.

Not to mention you’ll have it in streaming services 30 or so hours later and hear it any time you like. I mean the super sound is cool but in NY it’s $18 for that 57 minute experience that I will be doing on repeat for the next month anyways.

The people in the theatre are definitely a concern. It wasn’t that bad here in Denver for the PJ20 movie so I’m hoping this is the same. I’m hoping common sense prevails...but I know that’s asking a lot.

Yea i actually quite enjoyed my pj20 experience in Denver. I was worried but people were very courteous, reserved, up until the last "Alive" montage and even then it felt organic and quite lovely!

I'm quite excited about this. How can you be on a PJ chat board and not be excited about this?
Going with a group of friends. All just casual listeners, except me.
I think it will be a very unique experience. Atmos sound in a high tech theater.
That is, as long as the music is actually decent. And the visuals don't ruin it.
