Agree. Does all this Simmons hate come from back in the day, or is it Boston hate? I don’t get it. He seems pretty down to earth to me. Been listening religiously last few years. I do know he got on a lot of people’s nerves back in the day when he was making a name for himself.

Speaking only for myself, he was slightly cocky but bearable when he was writing/appearing on air for ESPN. His ego was an insatiable monster by the time he signed his lucrative HBO deal.

I love love love how insightful Ed is.

Starting to listen now. I don't think it was the band that reacted poorly to the cancellation (like if Ed decided, and Mike was not pleased). I think the band made the decision together. From Ed's side it felt a bit uncomfortable/controversial towards their staff there and for the tour. But a few days later everyone understood.

12 minutes in, and they are just talking about the Corona, and not being able to gather in large groups, play concerts.

Jeff: "I'm not the first guy in the band that wants to go on a big tour, but after all these months, I was ready to go play some shows"

The spot where Ed mentioned that Simmons sounded surprised when he told him he liked the album was a funny exchange. Simmons didn't have the heart to tell him how he felt about Lightning Bolt, lol.

Great stuff. Just some tidbits I found interesting...

- Ed is a Billie Eilish fan
- Jeff said when Eddie wrote the DOTC lyrics and melody that it was maybe the most exciting day of the last 10 years and that's the stuff that gets him going.
- Octavia Spencer is a huge PJ fan. Brett Hart too.
- Good Rodman story at the end too.

I would love more stuff like this. Ed's voice is still soothing as shit.
