that series of best songs by track number a few weeks ago really made that clear. These albums all really start to lose steam after song 8 or so. Obviously some great songs on all of them, but they are definitely top heavy. Maybe pearl jam should just make EPs.

Was not expecting to see these results when I clicked on this thread. Yikes. FON is one of their worst songs.

Sheesh.

It’s a fine song. Like LTRP, it really suffers from sequence placement.

I like LTRP. It's a lesser song, but fun for what it is. Like everything on Lightning Bolt it is presented in as unflattering a way as possible

where would you put it?

Force of Nature really has 5 things going for it (for me)

1. Good bridge
2. A lot of cool stuff happening in the second verse underneath the main riff (which does disappoint)
3. Great choruses. "Somewhere there's a siren singing a song only he hears" is an all time favorite lyric
4. Very good lyrics, especially after the first verse
5. Great outro 'patterns' by Mike.

This is a really good song with a distracting beginning

FON was heavily featured that one year when PJ soundtracked the World Series on TV.

I kinda hate Force of Nature. Voted Rival for the block.

I changed mine to that as well. This is bizarre.

It's a "Rival" vs. "Force of Nature" tie!

Second time in a row that a Binaural song ties with a PRAMG song

I love them. There is a ragged edge to them that fits the stormy imagery and subject matter really well.

Although I may be willing to sacrifice this slot for a better Binaural song on the mix

I have a BS/LB hybrid album that I enjoy well enough for the occasional spin:

GSMF
Got Some
The Fixer
Johnny Guitar
LTRP
Pendulum
My Father's Son
Force Of Nature
Future Days

sure, Rival is unique in the Pearl Jam catalog but it's not that great. Very dull song

I don't love FON either but not much else i want to vote for on Backspacer.
There are still some big ones on Binaural that we should be focusing on
