I haven’t bought a CD in a while, I think Gigaton is the only one in the past couple years, but will almost certainly get this one.

This song could make its way into many weddings!

Olivia’s tone and voice reminds a bit of Australia’s Julia Jacklin - much talent to work with there…

For that alone, I hate it.

I find it a saccharine with ham-handed lyrics, but I didn't really expect much more than that.

Still doesn't dim my expectations for the rest of the album.

This album has been in the ether forever though. They were always gonna do one together. Great to see they brought female Artists in to elevate it.

tragabigzanda wrote:Really nice song. I find her voice to be fairly unremarkable — it’s pleasant but I couldn’t pick it out of a lineup. But her phrasing and sense of dynamics is really nice; she controls softer phrases really well. I’d be keen to hear a whole album of her stuff with a bit more growth to her vocal chords.
I agree with this. Sometimes less character is good, though. IMO Ed so often makes the mistake of trying too hard and I'm glad she doesn't do that. It is a subtle, soulful, sentimental track, and she does a really good job.

I will keep this song in mind for making dads with daughters and daughters with dads cry in the future (looking at you, Raz). Very pretty, sweet song. Still confused why it has Ed listed in the title though.

Dave Hingerty, Joe Doyle and Dave fuckin odlum

That’s pretty much the frames.
