Don't get me wrong, I fully expect Trump to win in 2020. But I don't think $1200 will mean jack shit to people by then.

It of course has nothing to do with the actual dollar amount and everything to do with the symbolic resonance of Trump being the one who tried to help but was constrained by the do-nothing Democrats. It's straight out of the Trump playbook of putting your name in gold on a bunch of shitty hotels so everyone thinks you're a billionaire mogul--and it uhh works.

We had to get a new roof. It was replaced a few weeks ago, but decided to just use this to make the last payment.
