Ed in general. Too many words and syllables, and his voice is now the weak link in the band.

say what you want about Ed, PJ would be absolutely generic without him; and that's not a complaint about the level of their musicianship
Not to go down the alternative history rabbit hole, but if Andrew Wood were fronting this band for 30 years, my guess is they probably wouldn’t be my favorite band, I would probably like them though and not consider them bland. I have no idea what kind of music I would be listening to though without the Pearl Jam we know and love. Really the launchpad into everything I later came to like - even the stuff that sounds nothing at all like them.
Not only would they not have been my favorite band for 30 years but i doubt they would have even been on my radar.

Andrew Wood may have been a charismatic performer, but he was in no way what i was drawn to 30 years ago.
I agree. He could have done great things, but it wouldn’t have been like Pearl Jam. I think we have to talk about the time after he died. What if Scott Weiland auditioned instead of Ed in 1990?

There’s no bass in TTLW.

The other 7 tracks are all pretty strong.
The problem is most of the other songs. Yawn.
