I could watch Jean Smart in this role all day. The cruise episode fucking killed me.

I read a piece last night where the showrunners were saying that they have more seasons panned out but they ended it this way in case it didn't get renewed. I would have to imagine that HBOMax renews it though, dunno what its numbers are but it did well on the awards circuit and they've renewed lesser shows. I think a pretty natural narrative arc would be:

Spoiler: show: Season 3 - Each one tries to go their separate ways--Ava trying to make it on her own in LA or whatever
Season 4 - Invent some reason to bring them back together

yeah, its seems a no brainer to renew it, it has won prizes and stuff. But who knows!

The only thing i dont want is the cancer or terminal disease storyline here. Fuuuck that.

Just finished the latest season. I hope it does, but I really don’t see them doing another one. It’s a fantastic show.

Just finished S02. This is one of best shows going. I would watch a whole show of just Jimmy and Kayla.
