Been listening to a fair amount of PJ these past couple weeks so I'm looking pretty forward to this this year -- I don't really care how it's organized or what gets included/excluded or even what wins (unless "In the Moonlight" has a shot), I just enjoy the discussions that emerge beyond the usual "x is better than y, etc." and what I learn about my own listening preferences/habits from the comparative exercises. Yeah, I'm definitely in a similar spot. I haven't really listened to much PJ in the past year (not out of distaste, just familiarity), but Earthlings urged me to give a re-listen to some stuff, particularly Gigaton, which I was very impressed by how well it held up. I'm going back through some records and live stuff in the past week, so this is coming at the right time for me.
