Walked out of a job interview, turned the corner, found Neal's Yard Dairy.
Got a Stilton, some Double Gloucester and a bit of Stinking Bishop. All 3 are pretty great, and I see myself spending waaaay too much on cheese if I get this job.

In Europe, side-by-side fridges are called "American-Style".

I usually put cheese in my fridge. It is not an American-Style fridge, which is what Europe calls side-by-side fridges.

Maybe I'm calling what we have the wrong thing. This is what I'm talking about, fridge on top, freezer on bottom:

Yup, that's American Style. Though it'd be a bit weird calling it that in America, I imagine.

It's weird because i think most people here in the states actually have the kind with fridge on right, freezer on left or freezer on top, fridge on bottom. So i wonder why the style i have is called "American style"?

Ah, yeah, my bad: that's a "French Door" fridge.
American-Style is simply L/R Fridge/Freezer.
Most people here have the top/bottom Fridge/Freezer.
All are able to store specialty cheeses.
