Correct… macphisto suggested keeping it open to all for “feedback,” so a no brainer to keep it locked.

Weren't you just calling out mods yesterday for not being transparent about the deletion of GD? Funny, here you are posting in the thread your empathy to B after he explained what happened.

Reid is incredibly consistent in his inconsistence.

I'm a walking contradiction because my brain never shuts off and I react react react.

Anyway, I don't see this as too much of an inconsistency. The origin of my request for transparency yesterday stemmed from Joe deleting a thread (also reacting) and not giving a reason. Especially since he said no one complained about that content but him. Seems he should have locked it with an explanation why, deleted what he found offensive and warned the posters, then unlocked it with the caveat that ppl use better language. That would be transparent. That would be ideal/reasonable.

I brought up the GD thing as an example of why myself and others might want better modding and might not trust the mods.

Yet I still empathize with B feeling bad about fucking up. Make sense?

Ahem! Not deleted! Just rendered inaccessible by the great majority of posters. This is a significant difference

Maybe the old GD is in there, too. Did anyone check?

No. Joe was fully transparent with his actions. He said what he did and why he did it. Full transparency. What you’re proposing are completely different actions being taken because you disagree with the actions he took. Just because you think he should’ve done something else to the thread doesn’t mean it wasn’t transparent. It was. All along. At no point has Joe withheld why he deleted it. It’s been there from the get-go. You just don’t like WHAT he did. The WHY has always been there.

I'm personally happy that old GD is gone, but I also feel that there should be some accountability. Heads must roll. I demand B's resignation. When will we learn? We can't just let this happen again
