I think it was locked from the Get go on purpose. Just for mods to post actions in and nothing else
Correct… macphisto suggested keeping it open to all for “feedback,” so a no brainer to keep it locked.E.H. Ruddock wrote:I think it was locked from the Get go on purpose. Just for mods to post actions in and nothing else
I'm a walking contradiction because my brain never shuts off and I react react react.tragabigzanda wrote:Reid is incredibly consistent in his inconsistence.E.H. In fact, one time at the end of the night, I managed to combine all walked tabs on the POS onto one credit card. (There's a button that says "pay all" right next to a button that says "combine all.") I was on the phone with our merchant services until 6am and our staff lost out on a lot of tips, which we had to ballpark and make up out of petty cash. Nobody here is super bothered over their post counts or old threads, I hope. Thanks for all that you do.

No. Joe was fully transparent with his actions. He said what he did and why he did it. Full transparency. What you’re proposing are completely different actions being taken because you disagree with the actions he took. Just because you think he should’ve done something else to the thread doesn’t mean it wasn’t transparent. It was. All along. At no point has Joe withheld why he deleted it. It’s been there from the get-go. You just don’t like WHAT he did. The WHY has always been there.washing machine wrote:I'm a walking contradiction because my brain never shuts off and I react react react.tragabigzanda wrote:Reid is incredibly consistent in his inconsistence.E.H. Anyway, I don't see this as too much of an inconsistency. The origin of my request for transparency yesterday stemmed from Joe deleting a thread (also reacting) and not giving a reason. Especially since he said no one complained about that content but him. Seems he should have locked it with an explanation why, deleted what he found offensive and warned the posters, then unlocked it with the caveat that ppl use better language. That would be transparent. That would be ideal/reasonable.

If I could change what people think we wouldn't have to deal with verb.spike wrote:now folks will think you'll say you deleted it, but really didn't.epilogue wrote:I like this as our new April 1st tradition.Anders wrote:We can make it an annual event.
Hmmm... I don't think so, no. Let me check.wease wrote:Can you tell if someone has been banned by looking at their profile?
We still don't have to deal with verb. Dealing with verb is a choice this board has made.epilogue wrote:If I could change what people think we wouldn't have to deal with verb.spike wrote:now folks will think you'll say you deleted it, but really didn't.epilogue wrote:I like this as our new April 1st tradition.Anders wrote:We can make it an annual event.
