Kinda agree here. Though I also really like the way Kyoto effortlessly rips off the vocal melody on Pavement's Gold Soundz. Like, I genuinely like it, no sarcasm. hearing gold soundz for the first time and.. doesn't sound good at all to me.. don't like the way he sings... i don't think kyoto is mimicking this at all

I love Pavement. I get what Reid is pointing at, they share a similar lilt, but I don't think I'd call that a ripoff

Have you heard the rest of that album? Really good album. Kyoto is not even one of my favorites from it.
