How often is this?
every four weeks for a whole week...a few hours each day to take care of things i can't access from home.

every new pay period i come in thur/fri for a few hours.

total commute is about an hour, and that's on a good day. it's the early rising on these weeks that drains me. i've grown accustomed to getting out of bed and walking to the makeshift home office. the thought of dropping and cranking out pushups isn't even there.

i need motivation.
I hear you. I probably wouldn't do any during the week if not for working from home. Like you, unless I can't get back to sleep I pretty much don't do anything else before work after waking up.

I think routine is key. Are you in a cube or office when you're on site?
a cube, but more a row of them back to back, almost like a call center. back when we'd be here 5 days/week i would go through phases where i'd do pushups on the hour, sometimes with my cubemates, when we had cubes or pods. now the whole building has turned into a teleworking site, and it's a veritable ghost town at times. i've nowhere to jack in peace.

Nah. I’d do another set later tonight but I don’t wanna. I’m going to run after work then go to a function for a bit. I plan on being dead tired when I get home

That’s impressive. I think it would take me at least 5 minutes of on and off to do 60.
