The point is their relationship sucked, then it got better, and neither of them care who slept with who in the end. If it were important, it would have shown us. They had slowly but surely been at least somewhat converted to a more liberal, happier mindset by their friends, kicking and screaming. They were tested then came out happier. That's their arc.

I have three to go in season 2. I confess, I like season 2 better if only because of the scenery (I’ve been to Taormina twice and am familiar with the hotel) and, of course, the dong.
