I'd love to see a buttrocking mini-set open this one as a treat for the chaos this show has caused for years now.

I think about this from time to time. This kind of scorched-earth liberalism is emblematic of why the Obama presidency was followed immediately by the Trump presidency. And why the Biden presidency could very well be followed immediately by... another Trump presidency where his people will have four years to plan a better coup.Birds in Hell wrote:That’s still among the dumbest things the band has ever done.
Cancelling a show that thousands of our fans have already bought tickets for! That’ll show those, uh, legislators.
Grandstanding legislation followed by grandstanding economic embargoes over and over until someone pulls a gun. We have a lot to look forward to.
Oh wait, this was about a concert in Indianapolis. Wish I was able to go because my 13 year old is dying to go to a big concert. We'll have to settle for seeing the Reds/Brewers on Sunday because I can swing $13 a ticket plus a t-shirt.

I've seen $90 lawn seats on the ticket exchange several times in the past week or so.lvc wrote:I think about this from time to time. I wonder how long before we see pictures from some village in Africa where the kids are all wearing 8/26/24 setlist shirts....

Yeah. Ive been semi-seriously thinking about picking up a lawn ticket and driving up for the show then coming back home. A pretty long drive for a turnaround-comeback, but I’m sure I’ve done worse. The clincher tho, is I have to be at one of my centers bright and early at 8am. Which means I have to get up at 5. A younger me could’ve done that with no issues, but current-day Wease cares nothing about that anymore.Monkey_Driven wrote:I've seen $90 lawn seats on the ticket exchange several times in the past week or so.lvc wrote:I think about this from time to time. This will be my 10th show. My 9th was 14 fekin years ago at the same venue.
This one is special besides the double digits i can now "brag" on (11th will be Saturday), its the first show going with my partner Allie.
Her and i met at a record store in 1997 and as if she wasn't beautiful enough to catch me at first site, our first real conversation with one another was bonding over Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Deftones, etc.
Shes a special person and she loves me for some reason. I love her back and tonight's show will be meaningful beyond the usual PJ show excitement.
We're hoping for any/all of the following tonight: oceans, immortality, red mosquito, pendulum, why go, quick escape.

For as much snark and cynicism this board can have about the band and their management apparatus, it is pretty damn magical when the band brings it and turns the audience into gushing teenage fanatics once again.

Thanks! We're about to head out. Lawn seats. We don't care if we're the furthest from the stage so long as we have the experience with the band and 20k other pj fans
