Forgot to mention, during the break before Pj went on a guy in the pit passed out. Several of us scrambled to find medic , help the guy up into a wheelchair.
He seemed ok by the time they took him out to get some medical attention, and the result of the whole thing is that me and my buddy got a couple yards closer to the stage. We basically took this guy’s spot.

Wasn't this during Deep Sea Diver's set?

My neck hurts. Next concert I think I'm doing more head-bobbing and less headbanging.

How did the crowd like the new songs?

I'm onboard too, good on them for backing the new material so heavily. They'll be absolutely flying on those songs as the year goes on if they stick with it.
It's good to see the band take a 'you bought the ticket, you get what we give you' attitude for once, not act like a fan jukebox. In any case, I think they're doing a great job mixing things up so far.

I don't really know. I was too busy rocking the fuck out to pay much attention to the crowd.

I saw him take the hat off once for like 2 seconds to fan himself.

It was on the other side of the stage, I couldn't see very well.

WtOB? wrote:guess i’m stating the obvious by saying that’s the best setlist of the tour so far.
Not to me. I like both Vancouver sets better than this one by quite a bit.
The first 4 tracks, Upper Hand, Running, and Setting Sun have been staples so far, which I love. If they only play one other track from the album, my personal preference order today is Won’t Tell, Got to Give, Stevie, and SS, but Got to Give might be my favorite song on the album by next weekend. It’s trending in that direction.
After that it really comes down to what Pearl Jam you prefer. Long Road, Nothingman, Immortality is unbeatable to me. Release, NAIS, and Present Tense is great, but I’d take the former every time. I prefer Quick Escape to 7OC, and I’ll take Alone, Baba, and Smile over Crazy Mary and Mamasan. All this said, I’d be thrilled at any of the first three shows. I love this formula. If it continues, I will pay through the nose to go to that second Wrigley show.
All hail the lucky ones, I refer to those with shows to come.

Any show including NAIS is automatically dropped down 10 notches.

This setlist looks AWESOME. Wow. This is the second setlist this tour (The first show of the tour being the other) that I was like omg I would love to be at this show. I would be sad to not get Better Man and Black but it really is a great collection of songs and I love them doing Once/Alive/Footsteps in the encore, that's a really fun thing.
One thing I notice is this tour the band seems to be doing more fun sets again compared to last tour. I really have enjoyed the variety in the setlists.

Yeah may have been. Actually I think they stopped playing for a few minutes? Kinda chaotic.

Any show with Release & the full Mamasan Trilogy is A-Ok by me. I had a great night, impressed by Ed's performance. He's not nearly as sloppy overall as he's been in recent years. Band continues to be in great spirits, especially so for this one because all the wives/girlfriends (sans Jill or at least Ed didn't mention her) were in attendance. Jeff's girlfriend is named Pandora.

From looking at clips of this show he sounded a lot better here than the nights before, I wonder why? He sounds good in these clips, and is hitting more notes than he did in Vancouver. Maybe I am just picking 'on' songs on this night and 'off' songs on the vancouver one
